The Valencia CF first team squad enjoyed a unique experience at midday this afternoon, experiencing the traditional 'Mascletà' fireworks display which takes place every day of March until St. Joseph's Day at 2 pm in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento in Valencia. (City Hall Square).
Valencia CF's president, Layhoon Chan, the Club's corporate director, Javier Solís, as well as the men's first team squad, led by Rubén Baraja, travelled to the Town Hall. Before the mascletà they greeted and presented a commemorative painting by Joaquín Sorolla to the Mayoress of Valencia, María José Catalá, the Fallera Mayor María Estela Arlandis Ferrando and the Fallera Mayor Infantil, Marina García Arribas, as well as posing with the Court of Honour.
After the ceremonial acts, the eagerly anticipated mascletà (fireworks display) began. After the ceremony, and after waving to the Valencia CF fans from the balcony, the team returned to the Ciutat Esportiva de Paterna.
